Announcement of the Madrid Branch Awards. The Association of Civil Engineers launches the 2011 edition
The Madrid Branch of the Association of Civil Engineers announces the new edition of its awards for the Best Public Work, the Outstanding Civil Engineer, the Outstanding Young Civil Engineer and the Journalism Prize for the Best Article, Chronicle or Feature.
Best Public Work Award
The purpose of this award is to help newly constructed infrastructures to acquire fame and social prestige, thereby enhancing the work of civil engineers.
Outstanding Civil Engineer Award
The purpose of this award is to distinguish a Civil Engineer from the Madrid Branch for the uniqueness of their professional career, rewarding their contribution through novel solutions for construction projects, unique executions, research and unique or enterprising track records.
Outstanding Young Civil Engineer Award
The award aims to distinguish a young Civil Engineer from the Madrid Branch, rewarding their contribution through novel solutions for construction projects, unique executions, research and unique or enterprising track records.
The purpose of this award is to recognise the dissemination work in media of the activities and human and professional values associated with Civil Engineers in the Autonomous Region of Madrid. Similarly, those works that help to give value and increase the social prestige of this group will be awarded.
The deadline for presenting candidates is 30 June.
