Ineco, through the Aula Carlos Roa, will award the 4th Ineco Prize for the best article on "Transport: planning, infrastructures and services" of the Obras Públicas magazine for the year 2010 at the headquarters of the Association of Civil Engineers of Madrid.

The winning article, " The confusing role of the railway in the Spanish transport system" written by Ángel Aparicio Mourelo, Professor at the Polytechnic University of Madrid, gives a critical view of planning in the transport sector in our country.

The event, held on 19 May, was chaired by Ignasi Nieto chairman of Ineco and by Edelmiro Rúa, president of the Association of Civil Engineers, in the presence of the Secretary of State for Transport, Isaías Táboas, and Deputy Secretary of Public Works Jesús Miranda Hita. Also attending were José Antonio Torroja, president of the Obras Públicas magazine Board of Directors and Juan Antonio Becerril, editor of this magazine.
