Ineco, at Aerodays 2011

Ineco took part in the Aerodays 2011 conference. It was organised by the European Commission and the CDTI and held in Madrid from 30 March to 1 April.

As a conference collaborator, Ineco has a stand in the exhibition area to attend the different delegations related to the aviation sector.

On behalf of the Directorate-General of Aeronautics, Javier Pérez, ATM Management and Planning Manager, chaired the "Optimising the Airport of the Future" session in which Laura Serrano, head of the ANS European Projects department, presented the paper Improving turnaround predictability, TITAN.

During the "Satellite Navigation Benefits for Air Transport" session, the GIANT, GIANT-2 and ACCEPTA, headed by Ineco, were presented while Luis Chocano, head of the Space and Programme Management division, gave the talk "Regional and Business Aviation benefiting from EGNOS".

The "EGNOS approaches for reliable accuracy" workshop  included the "Final seminar of the European GIANT-2 project". It was coordinated by Ineco and presented the project conclusions and results obtained during flight tests carried out in Spain and Italy with the EGNOS signal certified for aviation.

Meanwhile,  the next edition of the European Parliament Magazine, which was distributed during Aerodays 2011 and focused on European Union goals and policies for aviation, includes an interview with Luis Chocano, coordinator of European project GIANT, GIANT-2 and ACCEPTA, which aim to introduce, adopt and use satellite navigation in the European aviation sector.
