Presentation of the 2nd Ineco Tifsa Award for the best article in the Civil Works Magazine to winners Pablo Pérez de Villar and José Manuel Vassallo.
At the School of Civil Engineering in Madrid, Spain, Ineco Tifsa presented the 2nd Award for the best article in the Civil Works Magazine in 2008 on "Transport: its Planning, Infrastructures and Services".
The prize-winning article, "Equity and Efficiency of Public Transport in Madrid", written by Pablo Pérez de Villar and José Manuel Vasallo, analyses the evolution of public transport funding policies in Madrid in recent years.
The ceremony, which took place on 26 March, was presided over by Juan Torrejón, Chairman of Ineco Tifsa, and Edelmiro Rúa, Chairman of the School of Civil Engineering, who were accompanied by part of the award jury, including Antonio Monfort, General Manager of Ineco Tifsa, José Antonio Torroja, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Civil Works Magazine, Juan Antonio Becerril, Magazine Director and Miguel Aguiló, member of the Aula Carlos Roa Board of Directors.Several representatives of the leading sector companies attended the ceremony.
This award forms part of the initiatives developed by Aula Carlos Roa since its creation in 2006.
