2016 Awards Demarcación de Madrid
Ineco has received the Award for the best Municipal Public Works from the Madrid Division of the Professional Association of Civil Engineers. The prize was awarded for the company’s participation in the new Soto de Henares halt in Madrid’s commuter train network. Íñigo de la Serna, the Minister of Public Works, presided over the awards ceremony, which was held yesterday at the Casa América building in Madrid and attended by the most important representatives of all the companies receiving awards and dignitaries from the Professional Association of Civil Engineers.
Ineco president Jesús Silva was responsible for receiving the award, which acknowledges the work of the company’s team in the architectural, structural and facilities design of the new station and in project managing and providing technical assistance during the execution of the works.
The new station is part of lines C-2 and C-7 of Madrid’s commuter train network and located close to the new Torrejón hospital and the Soto de Henares housing developments. Since August, it has been possible for the over 20,000 locals of this newly constructed area to reach the centre of Madrid in under 30 minutes, without having to travel to the centre of Torrejón de Ardoz.
