Carmen Librero, general secretary of Transport at the Ministry of Public Works, has inaugurated the Annual meeting of the Observatory for Transport and Logistics of Spain (OTLE), which took place at CEDEX. The advances made by the Observatory throughout 2014 were showcased, among which was remarkable the inclusion of logistics content and the GIS content visualisation, as well as the annual report.

Furthermore, the Planning General Subdirectorate showed the progress of the logistics strategy of the Ministry of Public Works, and Harbours of the State presented its Permanent Observatory for the Market of Port Services.

Javier Anibarro, Ineco’s work team coordinator at the Observatory, was in charge of showcasing the analysis about the situation of the transport sector in 2013 in the context of trends and challenges of transport in Spain.

Since 2013, Ineco has been in charge of the definition, maintenance and update of the OTLE database, and of the design and calculation of an indicator battery which allows to obtain a more transversal and multimodal vision of the transport system, as well as the drafting of the annual report of the Observatory.
