Ineco has expanded the services it currently provides for Network Rail Consulting in Australia as a systems integrator, supporting Transport for New South Wales (TfNSW) in the definition, integration and implementation of new railway systems for the network, together with Network Rail Consulting, Acmena and The Go-Ahead Group until June 2024.

This is a critical role for the network to increase its capacity and to be able to absorb future demand. the Digital Systems Program will replace current signalling and train control technology with modern, internationally proven, intelligent systems. The systems are based around European Train Control Systems (ETCS) Level 2 technology.    

The main activities that the Ineco staff will work on as part of an integrated team are; supervision of the design of the systems developed by the different technology suppliers (ETCS road and on-board, traffic management system and fixed and mobile communications), definition and development of operational standards; definition and management of system integration tests; support for commissioning; and technical advice.
