Josias Sampaio Cavalcante Junior, President of EPL (Empresa de Planejamento e Logística de Brasil), has met with Ineco’s President Jesús Silva, Corporate Managing Director Ignacio Fernández-Cuenca, and Business Development Director José Anguita at our headquarters.

Both companies account for a long and close relationship and signed an agreement in 2012 for the development of technical cooperation in transport, logistics and infrastructure, in the frame of a joint collaboration compromise of the Ministries of Public Works of both countries.

This meeting has allowed for the discussion of the state of works in progress, and to evaluate new business opportunities within the frame of the existing agreement.

Since the end of 2014, our company has been developing for the UNPD (United Nations Development Programme) an EPL institutional strengthening project. The works are focused on the revision of the transport management, especially that of railways. It has been proposed to apply a similar model to the European one, in which the infrastructure and the operator are different agents.
