The first meeting of the Transport and Infrastructure Internationalisation Observatory
The Secretary of State for Infrastructure, Transport and Housing, Julio Gómez-Pomar, chaired the first meeting of the Transport and Infrastructure Internationalisation Observatory, which was attended by the president of Ineco, Isaac Martín Barbero; the general director of Transformation, Internationalisation and Innovation, Eva Pulido; and the director of Internationalisation and Commercial Intelligence, Sergio Navarro. During the meeting, the ideas and lines of action contained in the Transport and Infrastructure Internationalisation Plan 2018-2020, which is being coordinated by our company, were analysed, and both the actions already carried out and the roadmap to take us to the end of 2018 were assessed.
The Transport and Infrastructure Internationalisation Observatory was created as a meeting platform for the sector to assess the evolution of markets, monitor actions carried out in different countries, gather information and knowledge about the various stakeholders involved, and outline the institutional backing required. The platform will contribute to providing the Spanish government’s actions with greater coherence, coordination and complementarity in its support for the international activities of companies.
Since the plan was launched, eleven initiatives have been carried out in three lines of action: participation in six sectoral forums as part of the Spain Transport Lab line; the organisation of two international summits as part of the Spain Tech Transport Summit; and the holding of three Innovation Bridge events on HS2 (United Kingdom), Russia and Rail Baltica.
The Transport and Infrastructure Internationalisation Plan 2018-2020 shares and integrates the activities and initiatives needed to generate more and better business opportunities for Spanish companies abroad, enhance their international activities and reinforce the technological, innovative and corporate image of Spain.
