Projects
Brazil

Ineco, together with the Brazilian company Empresa de Planejamento e Logística EPL, will develop the National Observatory of Transport and Logistics (ONTL in Portuguese) of Brazil with the aim of creating a reference platform in the transmission of information and knowledge in the country. The project is the result of an agreement between the Ministry of Public Works and the Brazilian Ministry of Transport, with the participation of the United Nations Development Agency (UNDP), for cooperation in the area of improvement in the management of the Brazilian transport system.

A transport observatory is a model of institutional collaboration, whose objective is to respond to the information needs of the sector and create a tool for the management, analysis and decision making of administrations and other agents. In this way, through its own database and other dissemination elements, a transport observatory serves both as a repository of data provided by numerous agents related to transport and logistics, and as a tool for disseminating information and knowledge.

This new contract will allow Ineco to advise EPL in the development of the strategy and the necessary tools to capture updated data and information and make it available to all transport agents involved. Know how acquired thanks to the development of the Observatory of Transport and Logistics in Spain (OTLE) that, after five years of experience, has been key in the transmission of information on mobility in our country.
