Projects
Aeronáutico

The European Space Agency has renewed its faith in the company for the development and evolution of the European satellite navigation system EGNOS, which is currently in its 2.4.2 version.

Ineco has been carrying out this work since 1998, enabling us to contribute to the development of the European space industry.

The EGNOS programme was launched by the European Commission in 1994 and began operating in 2001, with version 1.0 of the system. EGNOS (European Geostationary Navigation Overlay Service) is the European Satellite Based Augmentation System (SBAS). It is used to enhance the performance provided by global constellations such as GPS and in the near future will include Galileo in its version 3.0. EGNOS was initially created and deployed to provide SoL - Safety-of Life services for aviation, but nowadays other sectors such as maritime, land transport, agriculture, etc. benefit from it.
