Ineco has already announced the eight projects selected in its 2022 product innovation call. Drones, metaverse or vertiports are some of the technologies in which the company wants to position itself thanks to the proposals selected by the first Innovation Committee from among the 17 finalists. With a planned investment of 30,000 hours of innovation by 2023, Ineco will increase by 50% the budget allocated to finance the development of projects resulting from the four annual calls for innovation that make up the company's new model.

For the development of the eight winning proposals of the product call, Ineco will count on the participation of teams formed by more than 30 professionals from more than 10 different disciplines related to engineering, mathematics and design. The development of these projects allows the organisation to value the creativity and talent of its professionals and also to position itself in key technologies such as the metaverse, the use of artificial intelligence for predictive infrastructure maintenance, vertiports and satellite positioning and the use of generative design for project optimization. Ideas that span all innovation horizons: incremental and disruptive. You can learn more about theselected projects by clickinghere.

The Innovation Committee selected the proposals based on the realistic identification of potential customers; the estimated impact on Ineco's business; the size of the technical capacity to tackle the project; the possibility of establishing synergies between different areas; the degree of maturity of the proposal and the presentation itself. The 17-person jury included the president of Ineco, Sergio Vázquez Torrón, representatives from all the company's organisational areas and two external experts from the innovative ecosystem: Ana Alcaine, a prestigious professor at business schools, and Miguel Urrecha, an expert in the generation of new business models.

A new innovation model

This call for product innovation is part of the company's new innovation model, which aims to provide solutions to challenges by promoting the creativity and internal talent of its 5,000 professionals. In the coming months, the three remaining calls for proposals will be launched: business model, internal processes and social innovation.
