Ineco president Jesús Silva, together with North and Central America delegate José Solorza, has visited Costa Rica in order to attend a number of institutional meetings with various authorities of the country, as a response of an invitation from the Costa Rican government during the joint meeting of SICA and Spain, which took place in Guatemala at the beginning of March.

The delegation, accompanied by Ambassador for Spain Jesús Rodríguez-Andía, has been received by vicepresidents or Transport and Infrastructure of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, and has held meetings with Costa Rican Rail Institute (INCOFER) president Guillermo Santana, as well as with representatives of Civil Aviation.

Jesús Silva stated that ‘we have identified a very decisive will in the new government to approach projects they deep priority and which are related to the public transport. We believe that the government is keen on supporting far-fetching projects such as traffic, or like connecting the capital city with its metropolitan area’.

Ineco is backed by a wide experience in Costa Rica, where it has carried out projects such as the national transport plan, the integral plan for the modernisation of its airport network or the study for the implementation of a rail transport system in the capital.
