Jesús Silva takes part in the Global Sustainability Forum

Ineco Chairman Jesús Silva has taken part in the fourth Global Sustainability Forum, which took place on the 1st and 2nd of July in Madrid.

Hosted by Ernst & Young together with the Ibero-American General Secretariat (SEGIB), the event witness discussions such as the challenges and progresses towards the next Climate Change Conference in Paris 2015, the business solutions for urgent sustainability matters, human rights and sustainable business practice, global financial recovery and sustainability or advancement around integrated reporting.

During his intervention on the panel ‘Sustainable Infrastracture Power for Building Smart Cities’, Jesús Silva stressed that ‘a city must have attractive public spaces and promote sustainable, inclusive and healthy mobility’. He added that ‘we must evolve towards lower carbon and energy economic models’.

The act was attended by speakers such as José Antonio Álvarez, CEO of Banco Santander; Rosa García, CEO of Siemens; Rafael Mateo, CEO of Acciona Energía; Álvaro Rengifo, Chairman of Bombardier Spain, María Eugenia Brizuela, Corporate Sustainability Director for HSBC Latin America; Rodney Irwin, Director at Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD); or Matthew Bishop, editor at The Economist.
