Ineco has held a new webinar, this time on Common Safety Methods in the Railway System. As part of the Railway Week held by our company on the occasion of the European Year of the Railway, the aim of this seminar was to raise awareness of the Common Safety Methods (CSM) developed by the European Railway Agency, providing Ineco's vision and experience in their application.

The session, which was attended by more than 150 external participants from almost 60 different organisations, and moderated and guided by Eduardo Marcos, Deputy Director of Safety, Energy and Rolling Stock, included three approaches to the subject by colleagues from the Land Safety and Civil Protection Department, Izaskun Vallejo, Laura López and Mercedes Cabrera. The first block focused on Common Methods applied to Safety Management Systems, followed by Regulation 402 on the application of CSMs in modifications to the Railway System, and ended with a practical case study of this Regulation.

At the end of each block, the speakers answered the questions posed by the attendees and then gave way to the conclusions of the conference leader, among which it should be noted that the Common Safety Methods constitute a working scheme and methodology potentially applicable to any transport system, as well as developing concepts of great relevance, such as the approach to risks, safety culture or safe integration, among others.
