The new headquarters of the World Tourism Organization with the hallmark of Ineco
Ineco is responsible for drafting the execution project and the project management of the remodeling and expansion of building B of the Palacio de Exposiciones y Congresos de Madrid. This building will be the headquarters of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) by the end of 2024, under the international agreement signed on March 25th. After works are completed, this headquarters will have a total built-up area of approximately 9,000 m2 (1,300 m2 of new construction and 7,700 m2 of renovated area).
This work follows up the first commission received, and which is currently in its final phase for the collection of data, drafting of the preliminary project, with the support in the public information process and drafting of the following two basic projects: remodeling and extension of the building and auxiliary areas, which will be the subject of a works concession contract. Also, the remodeling and enlargement of building B, which will be subjected of a works contract promoted by TURESPAÑA, for which the execution project recently commissioned to Ineco is required.
Ineco has an Architecture team with more than 200 architects and technical architects. Professionals specialized in building, interior design, building pathologies, installations in their different aspects, sustainability,etc. Its high technical experience in activities related to the process (consultancy and feasibility studies, design, renovation, refurbishment, execution and commissioning of government buildings) and in cooperation with specialists in other areas (Singular Projects, Operation and Inspection, Environment and Territory, Economy and Transport Policy, Planning and Sustainable Mobility) is a distinctive factor in the sector.
Recently, the company has carried out, among others, the refurbishment of the new headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation or the headquarters of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation and AESA.
