The Spanish ambassador to Kuwait, Miguel José Moro Aguilar, has visited the expansion works at Kuwait International Airport to learn first-hand about our work in this key project for the country and to show his support for the company's team.

Ineco is in charge of the comprehensive management, commissioning and operational transition of this project for the local Ministry of Public Works. These works include, among other actions, the construction of a new 700,000 sqm terminal building, with the aim of obtaining LEED Gold certification; the extension of the two existing runways; the construction of a new third runway; the new control tower; and the development of the associated infrastructure on the ground and air sides of the airport.

Our company, leader of the consortium, will coordinate the intervention of the multiple consultants and contractors from various countries involved in the works, which will increase the airport's capacity to 25 million passengers in the first phase. Our organisation has extensive experience in the integrated management of large international airport projects such as in Fujairah (UAE) or Lima (Peru). Ineco will also provide ORAT services, which include the planning, validation and execution of tests of all the systems and procedures for the terminal prior to commissioning, as well as the training of personnel, to ensure that the beginnings of the new facilities run smoothly.

Ineco has previously worked at this airport between 2011 and 2016, carrying out project management tasks and updating the 2010 Master Plan for the Kuwaiti Directorate General of Civil Aviation.
