Rocío Gutiérrez, Deputy Director of the European Delegation, was part of the Spanish delegation that accompanied the Minister, Raquel Sánchez, at the 41st ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) Assembly.

During her trip to Montreal, Rocío Gutiérrez was able to gain first-hand knowledge of the global aviation situation and participated in multiple bilateral meetings with representatives of Civil Aviation and the Ministries of Transport of Lithuania, Greece, Mexico, the United Arab Emirates and Panama, among others, as well as with representatives of ICAO, in which they have discussed issues associated with the situation in each of the countries, as well as Ineco's capabilities to collaborate in defining the future strategy and development of international civil aviation.

Within this framework, the Minister has signed a memorandum of understanding with ICAO to participate in the program for the development and deployment of sustainable fuels worldwide. She also reiterated Spain's commitment to gender equality in the sector, in relation to the World Summit on Gender Equality in Aviation to be held in Madrid in 2023.

Last March, Ineco became the first company in Spain to obtain ICAO recognition for Instrument Flight Procedure Design (IFPD). Only 14 companies worldwide have this important support from the international organisation.
