SmartCity Expo World Congress 2017 addresses the challenges facing the cities of the future
Ineco participated in SmartCity Expo World Congress 2017, a key event for all those involved in the transformation of cities and for any company in the innovation and urban solutions sector. Organised by Fira de Barcelona, the event was held in Barcelona between 14 and 16 November and brought together more than 18,000 entrepreneurs, around 675 companies and representatives from 700 cities in more than 120 countries.
The president of Ineco, Isaac Martín Barbero, was one of the speakers in the session entitled Keep Cities Moving: Towards New Mobility Models, in which he stressed that, ‘in order to improve mobility solutions, we have to plan the future bravely and dare to do things differently.’ The Deputy Director for Economics, Planning and the Environment, Ainhoa Zubieta, and the senior expert in Economics and Transportation Policy, David Maté, also participated in two round-table discussions at the parallel 3rd PPP for Cities International Conference on the theme of public-private partnership.
Ineco also had a stand in the Spain Space, organised by ICEX, in which visitors were able to learn more about the Cityneco platform, thanks to our real-time simulation model.
