  • Work on the Port of Huelva

Our expert team has participated since 2004 in the modernisation and expansion works of the port.

The Port of Huelva is a modern, competitive industrial port complex. Its area of 1,700 hectares is an important asset to the province of the same name situated on the Atlantic coast in the south of the Iberian Peninsula. Another advantage of its location is its proximity to the Straits of Gibraltar, on both the around-the-world maritime trade routes and the north-south axis (Europe-Africa y Europe-America).

The Port of Huelva is nowadays an agile, modern and efficient port equipped with the most advanced services and facilities that enable it to cater to even the largest cruise ships.

Ineco has been working on the modernisation and extension project since 2004, carrying out several rail-related port projects.

Our work has focussed on improving the rail accesses, upgrading tracks, creating new sidings, extending the paved area, developing railway terminals and executing various connections.

The port has thus acquired new branch lines for the loading and movement of freight, enhanced rail accesses and new lines that facilitate the movement of containers.
