Pablo Vázquez, president of Ineco, has accompanied the Spanish Minister of Public Works and Transport, Ana Pastor, the Secretary of State of Infrastructure, Transport and Housing, Rafael Catalá, and Julio Gómez-Pomar, president of Renfe, in the Spanish delegation that has visited Costa Rica and Mexico to offer the collaboration of the government and the Spanish companies for the future infrastructure projects in both countries.

In Costa Rica, the Spanish entourage has reviewed with the country’s heads of infrastructure the planned actions and implementations in order to evaluate the Spanish involvement in these projects. Ineco works closely with the local authorities in relevant projects such as the National Transport Plan, which aims to define the actions to implement in the coming years in the topic of infrastructures. Ineco has also carried out a plan for the modernization of the country’s airports, or the consultancy for the development of the national rail system, among other projects.

The delegation has finished their trip in Mexico, where it has attended the 2nd Government Report of President Enrique Peña Nieto. Furthermore, the delegation has held several meetings with the country’s top chiefs of infrastructure, like Gerardo Ruiz, Secretary of Communication and Transport. The goal of these meetings was to encourage the involvement of Spanish companies in the National Infrastructure Program of Mexico for the 2014-2018 period. Ineco maintains close ties with the Mexican authorities for whom it currently works as the administrative supervising agent of the Guadalajara – Colima highway, among other projects.
