Ineco has participated in the Next Station 2017 congress, which was held in Madrid on 19 and 20 October and has made the city the centre of the digital transformation of the international railway sector. This event, organized by Adif and the International Union of Railways (UIC), focused on the digitization of railway stations under the motto 'Smart Stations in Smart Cities'.

The Minister of Public Works, Íñigo de la Serna, presided over the opening ceremony, visiting, along with the president of Ineco, Isaac Martín-Barbero, among other institutional representatives, the stands of the networking area in which Ineco was present with its Smart City model. Thanks to sensors and virtual reality elements, the model represents, on a small scale, the smart management of urban mobility.

Jorge Torrico, deputy director of BIM of Ineco, also made a presentation in the session dedicated to Smart Design, together with representatives of some of the most prestigious railway companies, in which he recognised the value of BIM as a collaborative working methodology for the management of building projects or civil works.

A great meeting point for high-level speakers, international decision-makers and representatives of major industries, as well as actors interested in the theme of the smart city that has once again served to position Ineco at the forefront of technological innovation.
