Ineco has signed a contract with the Ministry of Transport and Public Works of Ecuador
to prepare the future National Strategic Plan of Mobility and Transport of the South American country.

The value of the agreement is almost 1.2 million dollars and it was signed on 6 October by the Deputy Minister of Transport Management, David Mejía, who emphasised the need for a regulatory change to enable Ecuador to carry out the necessary reforms of all modes of transport.

Firstly, the plan will define an intermodal management model by consolidating transport routes. In the longer term, it aims to improve intermodal transport operations in order to strengthen Ecuador‘s foreign trade.

In 2008, Ineco conducted a detailed study on the situation of the Ecuadorian airport José Joaquín de Olmedo, in Guayaquil.
