Ineco presented "Ineco RuralTIC: an innovative solution to contribute to rural digitalisation" at the seminar "Connectivity and Digitalisation Vs. Rural Development" organised by the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces. The Deputy Director of Institutional Relations and Corporate Social Responsibility, África Jiménez, was responsible for highlighting the value of this pioneering programme based on digitalisation as a lever for social and economic transformation in rural Spain.

With its second edition underway, the Ineco RuralTIC programme has registered 90 Spanish municipalities, doubling its presence in the country. Our digital nomads will once again repeat the success of the first edition, which managed to hold nearly 350 digitalisation workshops in which more than 2,300 participants and 250 SMEs took part, thus contributing to boosting and reducing the digital divide in these rural environments.

This seminar sought to raise awareness of various initiatives related to rural development and digitisation, as well as to highlight the value of the Office of Transformation and Promotion of Digital Deployment (OTIDD), which the FEMP makes available to Local Governments.
