Urban planning backbones

Architects, economists, jurists, experts in mobility, the environment and aeronautical engineering, among other specialities, make up the Ineco team in charge of the analysis and integration of transport infrastructure in the territory and urban and territorial development. More than 30 professionals, most of them with more than 15 years of experience, are in charge of carrying out urban planning consultancy work or the drafting, management and execution of planning instruments.

Among the projects currently under development, Ineco is providing technical support to SEPES, the public land corporation, in one of the most important public housing projects in Spain: "Campamento", which will enable the construction of 10,700 homes in Madrid, of which at least 60% will be subsidised. The project recovers a large area of disused public land for the citizens, acting in a strategic area due to its location, its size and its impact on access to affordable housing in the city of Madrid and its surrounding towns.

For more than 20 years, Ineco has also supported the Directorate General of Civil Aviation in the analysis and territorial integration of airports of general interest in more than 1,500 municipalities throughout Spain. To this end, the proposed planning around airports is analysed and the compatibility between future airport development and the expansion of cities is checked, taking into account land requirements, the uses that can be considered, relying on the existing aeronautical noise and the safety of aircraft operation at airports. In addition, the company is working on the urban planning analysis of the actions planned at Atocha Station and on the drafting of Special Plans in airport areas.

Ports, stations, airports or city development... although each urban planning project is different according to its requirements, they all share the need to take into account all the agents involved, an essential aspect in urban planning.
