The final validation exercise took place at Loring Airfield (Madrid)
Ineco has strengthened its role as a strategic player in the transformation of European airspace after successfully completing the final validation of Solution 2A of the SPATIO project, an initiative funded by SESAR 3 that drives the development of advanced U-space services.
The final validation exercise took place at Loring Airfield (Madrid) and marks a decisive step towards an air traffic management model capable of safely and efficiently integrating drones and manned aviation. Solution 2A is designed to enable the simultaneous operation of unmanned aircraft through dynamic capacity management (DCM) tools and strategic conflict resolution mechanisms.
Throughout the day, various operational scenarios were deployed to assess, under real conditions, system interoperability, communication stability, and the effectiveness of U-space services. The tests demonstrated the system’s ability to anticipate and manage potential conflicts, ensuring operational safety at all times.
Participation in the SPATIO project consolidates Ineco’s position within the European aeronautical innovation ecosystem and reinforces its commitment to building a smarter, more digital airspace that is ready for the safe coexistence of drones and manned aircraft.
