Carlos Joaquín Hernando, manager of the Aviation Account Europe, Asia, Africa and Oceania, has participated in a conference on the European Space Programme Agency (EUSPA), its activities, projects and opportunities for business participation, organised by ICEX Spain Export and Investment and the Economic and Commercial Office of Spain in Prague.

During his intervention, Carlos J. Hernando highlighted the value of the projects in which our company participates in the field of space, especially the operation of the Galileo system (GSOp) in which the company is responsible for the first level operation and maintenance of the systems deployed at the European GNSS Service Centre (GSC). Ineco is part of the Core Team of the industrial group led by the Italian-German company SpaceOpal GmbH, which operates the Galileo system under contract with EUSPA. The GSC is an integral part of the European satellite navigation infrastructure and provides the unique interface between the Galileo system and users of the Open Service (OS), the High Accuracy Service (HAS) and the Navigation Message Authentication Service (OS-NMA).

In addition, Carlos J. Hernando shared our company's vision of how EU Space Programme services will evolve and what opportunities they will bring. The hybridisation of satellite services of different natures (navigation, communication, earth observation, etc.) with existing and emerging terrestrial technologies (artificial intelligence, augmented reality, etc.) and the use of authenticated and high-precision services are key to offering advanced and resilient solutions that adapt to the evolution of future mobility models.) or the use of authenticated and high-precision services are key to offering advanced and resilient solutions that adapt to the evolution of future mobility models.

EUSPA is a key European Union body dedicated to promoting innovation and cooperation in the space sector, with exciting opportunities for business participation and funding for entrepreneurial initiatives. EUSPA programmes contribute to stimulate innovation and development of new products and applications from satellite technology and its developments, driving growth and productivity in diverse sectors such as transport, precision agriculture, aviation and autonomous driving.
