Ineco also participated in one of the most significant demonstrations of the event as part of the European U-ELCOME project.
Our company has participated in a new edition of Expodrónica, one of the main fairs on innovative air mobility and drones at a national level.
Ernesto de la Fuente, air sector manager, and Pablo Menéndez-Ponte, expert in CNS-ATM systems, have presented the ESCAI Ribeira Sacra project, a pioneering initiative in Spain led by Ineco and supported by the SIAM cluster (Spanish Innovative Air Mobility cluster). During their presentation, they showed the results of the first real demonstrations of commercial services carried out in the natural environment of the Triguás Viewpoint, in Galicia.
The U-ELCOME project: pioneering demonstration of U-space integration.
Ineco also participated in one of the most significant demonstrations of the event, as part of the European U-ELCOME project, showcasing the project's progress and demonstrating for the first time in Europe a successful integration of multiple service providers operating simultaneously. This project aims to develop the implementation of U-Space, the EU programme for the efficient and safe integration of unmanned aircraft into European airspace in a unified platform regulated by local authorities to manage air traffic.
In this context, Ineco has contributed to the operation of the drone-nest system installed at Adif's Maintenance Base in Villarrubia de Santiago. This integration was successfully carried out on Enaire's U-space platform, validating the interoperability of different systems and demonstrating the technological capabilities necessary for an automated, safe, and coordinated management of drone traffic.
Ineco's presence at Expodrónica highlights its role as a key player in defining the future of urban air mobility in Spain, actively contributing to the development of a technological and institutional ecosystem that enables more efficient, safe, and sustainable air mobility.
