Virgina Fuentes, Manager 2 in Climate Change and Energy Transition, has given the thematic unit on Circular Economy and Sustainable Mobility as part of the Specialisation Module in Environmental Port Management at the Menéndez Pelayo International University.

Our colleague's presentation was the result of an invitation to Ineco from the Innovation and Training Department of the Santander Port Authority, through the DGNN, to participate as a lecturer in the 20th edition of the Ibero-American Course on Technology, Operations and Environmental Management in Ports, organised in collaboration with the Inter-American Committee on Ports of the Organisation of American States, the Universities of Cantabria and Menéndez Pelayo International University and the Santander Port Authority.

In the presentation, our colleague highlighted the work that Ineco has carried out in ports in recent years in different areas of sustainability, analysing and discussing the complexity of circular economy and sustainable mobility solutions and their adaptation to this type of infrastructure and its specific operations.

The aim of this training is to provide technical, specialised and up-to-date training in the fields of port operations and port environmental management, using the most advanced methodologies and techniques in these fields, with reference to the Spanish casuistry and experience, and bringing together different professionals and specialists in port matters from Latin America.
