Pablo Ramos, Europe, Africa, Asia and Oceania Land Account Deputy Directorate at Ineco, has taken part in a meeting organised by Spain’s Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Isabel Aparici, with Spanish companies from the transport and engineering sectors that are developing infrastructure projects in the country.
During the meeting, the Ambassador reaffirmed the Embassy’s commitment to supporting the activities of these companies, highlighting their strategic role in strengthening economic relations between Spain and the United Kingdom. The gathering also served to showcase the contribution of Spanish engineering to landmark projects and to share perspectives on the challenges and opportunities facing the sector in the UK market.
In this context, Ineco continues to reinforce its position in the UK through its recent involvement in the HS2 high-speed rail project, one of Europe’s largest railway developments. The company has signed a new contract, as part of a consortium with Arup and commissioned by Ferrovial BAM Rail Systems, for the detailed design of the track superstructure across several strategic sections of the line. This latest contract consolidates Ineco’s track record on HS2, where it has been involved since 2012 in various phases of the project, including current works on railway systems integration and verification alongside Atkins and Systra.
With more than two decades of continuous presence in the UK, Ineco has strengthened its relationships with local operators and public authorities, taking part in flagship projects such as Heathrow and Luton airports, the Silvertown Tunnel and the development of Spain’s institutional infrastructure in London.
