Paul Van Branteghem, Smart Products expert, has had a prominent participation in the Digital Enterprise Show (DES) 2025, with two of the most relevant sessions of the congress on artificial intelligence and its strategic and energetic influence in the global business environment.

In his intervention in the session "AI Power Shifts: Global Strategy and Business Impact", he addressed how public and private organisations can integrate these technologies to strengthen their strategic position and competitiveness, and highlighted the responsibility of institutions to ensure an ethical, inclusive, and sustainable use of these tools.

On the other hand, he has also participated in the session "The Footprint of Artificial Intelligence: Energy Costs of Language Models", focused on one of the most pressing issues in the sector: the high energy consumption of language models and other generative AI infrastructures. In his speech, he warned about the need to introduce sustainability metrics in the design and deployment of artificial intelligence models, as well as to promote more efficient and environmentally responsible infrastructures.

The Digital Enterprise Show (DES) 2025, held in Málaga from June 11th to 13th, has brought together more than 17,000 professionals from 40 countries and over 450 international experts to discuss the present and future of digital transformation in the public and private sectors. Under the slogan "Accelerating Performance", the event has addressed key trends such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, technological sustainability, digital leadership, and business automation, establishing itself as one of the leading technological gatherings in Europe.
