Ineco has held a new edition of its Mov.ia Open Innovation workshop, a space designed to foster collaboration with the entrepreneurial and technology ecosystem around key future challenges. This session focused on the challenge of dual infrastructures, aiming to identify scalable solutions that ensure the efficient operation of infrastructures both under normal conditions and in emergency, security, or defence scenarios.
Throughout the day, participants explored specific use cases such as the design of logistics corridors and terminals capable of guaranteeing traceability and prioritization of strategic convoys; integrated control centres to manage segregated civil and security networks with full interoperability between critical systems such as energy, communications, and transport; and resilient energy and communication systems based on microgrids, automatic power transfer, and backup technologies including TETRA, 4G, 5G, and satellite.
The proposed solutions leverage enabling technologies such as IoT, 5G, digital twins, OT–IT integration, SCADA, cybersecurity, drones (UAS), LiDAR, and open APIs—key to designing smarter, more adaptable infrastructures prepared for complex scenarios.
The workshop featured presentations by Marta Gabaldón, Manager in Ineco’s ENAIRE and Airports Account Deputy Directorate, and Alejandro Aliaga, Cybersecurity Advisor and Civil Protection volunteer, who emphasised the need to anticipate technological solutions that strengthen security and operational continuity in strategic environments.
Emerging companies such as xrf, Panssari, Irontec, and Sanzar Group also participated, showcasing innovative projects in areas such as immersive operational training, applied tactical intelligence, secure communication networks, and threat management.
An Expanding Cycle: Next Challenge—Sustainability and Crisis Management
Mov.ia continues to consolidate its role as a space for technological and public co-creation, aligned with sustainability, digitalization, and resilience objectives. Its next edition will address the role of innovation in crisis management, sustainability, and prevention, reinforcing Ineco’s commitment to the continuous improvement of infrastructures and the quality of life for citizens.
