Sergio Vázquez Torrón, president of Ineco
Sergio Vázquez Torrón, president of Ineco, has participated as a speaker at the CREO 2025 forum, where he took part in a talk titled "Talent, technology and territory: key triangle for the progress of societies". Accompanied by the journalist from El País and Cinco Días, Javier Magariño, he reflected on the challenges and opportunities that Spain faces to become a more competitive, cohesive, and future-ready country.
During his speech, he highlighted three fundamental pillars for the advancement of the country and as an example for other countries in the world: human capital, digital transformation, and territorial balance. "Spain is a powerhouse in executing major projects, not only related to transport infrastructure but also with energy infrastructure, connectivity, or our healthcare system. Always with the collaboration of the public administration," he highlighted.
Vázquez Torrón also referred to the recent reports prepared by Ineco on rail and air transport, highlighting their strategic value: "Both documents stem from Ineco's desire to contribute something that I believe Spain lacks: creating an economic narrative of our possibilities as a country," he noted. He emphasized the importance of highlighting the areas where we excel, stating, "We are very good at these things, and in these areas, we truly are."
