Ineco’s experts Inés and Lucas during the session
The event “Beyond Algorithms: From AI to Quantum Computing”, organised by Epitech, brought together experts from the technology, academic, and industrial sectors to analyze the real impact of emerging technologies on society, infrastructure, and industry.
Ineco actively participated in the forum, sharing its vision of how artificial intelligence and quantum computing are driving a paradigm shift in engineering. Inés Ovejero, Product Development Manager, and Lucas Alaniz, Research Engineer at Ineco, presented real cases of applied innovation in the company’s strategic projects.
During their presentation, they highlighted solutions such as:
- DIGAV, a tool that uses AI for fault detection in railway infrastructure through video analysis;
- Synthetic Data, enabling the safe and ethical creation of artificial data to improve algorithm training;
- Port Pollution, an intelligent environmental monitoring system;
- Fisuria, an innovative solution for automated crack detection in structures using image analysis.
The event provided a rigorous discussion on the current state of artificial intelligence, clarifying expectations and emphasizing the importance of responsible, practical use tailored to engineering needs. It also explored the potential of quantum computing as a future tool to solve highly complex problems, leveraging physical principles such as superposition and entanglement.
