Braga emphasized the fundamental role of cybersecurity in the sustainability of countries and companies
During the V STIC - CCN-CERT Panama Conference, organized by the National Cryptologic Center (CCN) in collaboration with Ibero-American institutions, León Felipe Braga, a cybersecurity expert from Ineco, participated in a high-level panel on the protection of critical infrastructure and digital governance.
In his speech, Braga emphasized the fundamental role of cybersecurity in the sustainability of countries and companies, calling on public and private sector leaders to change the narrative surrounding this discipline. "Protecting our critical infrastructure is not just a technological issue; it is an act of good governance, a commitment to sovereignty, and a guarantee of trust for markets," he stated before an audience composed of authorities, sector professionals, and multilateral organisations.
The Ineco specialist also highlighted the importance of viewing cybersecurity as a strategic pillar rather than merely an operational expense. "Cybersecurity is not a cost; it is an investment in stability, reputation, and the future of companies that keep a country moving forward," he added, sparking an engaging debate on the need to integrate cyber resilience into national development and digitalization plans.
The event, which brought together experts from over 20 countries, reinforced its role as a key meeting point for cyber defense strategies within the Ibero-American region.
