Ineco has reaffirmed its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and gender equality in the aviation sector through the participation of Sara García, Manager of Planning and Sustainable Mobility, at the 11th Women and Aeronautics Conference organized by the Getafe City Council. The event brought together leading representatives of Spain’s aeronautical ecosystem to discuss the challenges shaping the future of air transport.

Sara García took part in a roundtable alongside professionals from Enaire, AESA, and the Ellas Vuelan Alto Association, highlighting Ineco’s key role in driving the new air mobility model—a sector undergoing profound transformation fueled by digitalization, new urban paradigms, and sustainability. “Ineco is a public engineering company working to make transport safer, more efficient, and more sustainable. We actively participate in pioneering projects ranging from the design of infrastructure such as vertiports to the operational integration of airspace (U-space), the development of digital twins, and technical support for regulatory bodies such as AESA and the DGAC,” she noted.

Regarding the infrastructure required for this new mobility, such as vertiports, García addressed the main technical and social challenges: “Location, noise impact, energy, safety, and regulations are critical aspects we analyze in our studies. At Ineco, we strive to deliver realistic solutions that enable the harmonious integration of these elements into cities.”

She also stressed the importance of institutional collaboration, particularly with municipal administrations: “Urban air mobility operations take place in city environments, coexisting with other transport modes and citizens. Therefore, local governments must play a key role in planning and deploying these new solutions.”
