Ineco, First Public Company Certified for Advancing Senior Talent Employability

Ineco has been recognised by the Age Friendly Institute for its promotion of the employability of senior talent, becoming the first Spanish public company to obtain this seal. The recognition highlights its commitment to inclusion in the workplace and generational diversity within the organisation.

The certification has been awarded following a comprehensive assessment that includes a review of audit interview responses, publicly available information and benchmarking against international standards in age management policies and practices. The accreditation will be reviewed every two years to ensure that the commitments made are maintained.

The Age Friendly Institute has highlighted that Ineco has obtained an overall score well above the average of certified companies worldwide, standing close to 100% in the benchmark of best practices. "This means that, in comparison with the best practices identified worldwide, Ineco has an excellent performance", said the collaborating entity in the management of the certification.

Public leadership in generational diversity
Since the launch of its Ahora+ programme to promote senior talent in 2023, Ineco has incorporated 318 professionals over 55 years of age, with an average age of 58.4 years. Most of these incorporations have taken place in highly specialised positions, especially in management and key technical positions.
In just two years, the over-55 workforce has doubled from 466 people in 2022 to 930 today as part of its comprehensive  Iguales plan for socio-labour inclusion.

Ineco's Talent Management Deputy Director and head of the company's Ahora+ programme, Mónica Lauda, stressed that  " The Ahora+ programme is proof of Ineco's real commitment to the inclusion of senior professionals in the workforce, who bring not only knowledge and specialisation, but also an enriching vision to face the challenges of the future. Having doubled our workforce over the age of 55 in just two years is a reflection of our firm commitment to generationally diverse talent and equal opportunities"


With this recognition, Ineco has become a pioneer among public companies and a benchmark in its sector for its firm commitment to generational diversity.
