Ineco once again took part in Safety Week 2025, organized by Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (GAP), an internationally recognized event on operational safety that, in its latest edition, brought together more than 3,200 attendees from 19 countries.
Ignacio Fernández-Cuenca, Manager in Ineco’s Consulting, Environment and IT Division, delivered a technical presentation titled “Operational Readiness and Airport Transfer” (ORAT). His talk highlighted the critical role of detailed planning and rigorous execution in airport infrastructure commissioning processes—essential to ensuring safe, efficient, and sustainable operations from day one.
This approach has already led to successful projects both nationally and internationally, including work for Aena in Spain, as well as projects at airports such as Newark in the United States, and ongoing initiatives in Abu Dhabi and Kuwait, where Ineco is currently deploying its expertise.
Over Two Decades of Collaboration with GAP
Ineco and GAP have maintained a strong partnership since 2003. During this time, the Spanish company has developed numerous strategic projects, including Master Development Programs for the 12 airports that GAP manages, operates, and develops across Mexico’s Pacific and Central regions. Recently, GAP renewed its trust in Ineco to prepare these development plans for the 2025–2039 horizon and to design upgrades at several of its airports.
