Ineco has been present at the 2nd National Meeting of Women in Computer Engineering (CCII), an event that aims to highlight the role of women in technological development.

Nuria Albó, data scientist at Ineco and consultant for SEDIA, has participated in this forum to discuss technological innovation, female leadership, and the impact that computer engineering has on our society.

At the core of the roundtable titled ‘Data and Artificial Intelligence as Fundamental Infrastructures for New Organizations,’ Núria Albó emphasised the importance of recognising data and artificial intelligence as critical infrastructures, on par with energy and telecommunications. She explained that this entails integrating them into the foundation of our digital society, ensuring they are supported by stable, sustainable, and regulated resources.

In her speech, she highlighted the active role that Spain is playing in this field, with a funded national strategy and pioneering regulatory environments such as the AI sandbox or the future AESIA (known as the Spanish Agency for the Supervision of Artificial Intelligence). Moreover, they have initiatives aimed at democratising access to these technologies through sectoral data spaces and artificial intelligence factories (AI Factories).

The round table, shared by 4 professionals from the sector, openly debated the social, economic, and ethical implications of treating AI and data as a key pillar for the efficiency and innovation of organisations, rather than as a competitive advantage.
