Ineco Shows Interactive Drone Flight Simulator at Callao Exhibition

May 23, 2025

Ineco is once again taking part in Madrid's Civil Engineering Week (SICMA 2025), a leading event organized by the Association of Civil Engineers, which this year marks its 8th edition under the theme “Driving Sustainability.”

The company has been present from May 23 to May 30 at the exhibition located in Plaza de Callao, where it showcases its commitment to innovative aerial mobility, one of the major revolutions in future transportation. During the opening day, Ineco's President, Sergio Vázquez Torrón, along with the Engineering and Consultancy General Director, Patricia Rey, attended the official ceremony at Palacio de la Prensa and visited the exhibition space.

Pioneering Projects in Air Mobility

Ineco showcases an interactive drone flight simulator at Callao, based on Microsoft Flight Simulator, which allows visitors to experience immersive demonstrations of vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) aircraft operations. This initiative aligns with the company's vision of a more sustainable, versatile mobility system tailored to both urban and rural environments.

Among its recent milestones, Ineco's leadership role in the Spanish Innovative Air Mobility (SIAM) Cluster, launched in early 2024, stands out. In this context, the company recently presented the White Paper on Vertiports, a key document for the deployment of this new infrastructure.

Technology Fully Developed by Ineco

During the week, a drone flight workshop will also take place on May 28, featuring a live demonstration of real-time image processing for traffic analysis on Gran Vía. All the software involved (ranging from geo-tagging, transmission, data processing, to visualization) has been entirely developed by Ineco's teams.

These technologies not only highlight the growing impact of drones across various engineering fields but also demonstrate their potential to provide effective solutions for measurement, detection, and real-time monitoring.

Additionally, Ineco will participate in the workshop “IngenioSOS, the Human Side of Civil Engineering” on Monday, May 26, alongside Madrid City Council and ACCIONA. Aimed at high school students, the event will be represented by engineers Susana Linares and Ana Isabel González Barazón, reinforcing the company's commitment to social development and the promotion of STEM vocations.
