Ineco has taken part as an exhibitor at Airspace World 2026, one of the leading international events for air traffic management (ATM) and air navigation. Organised by CANSO (Civil Air Navigation Services Organisation), the gathering brought together more than 7,000 professionals and representatives from 145 countries, including air navigation service providers (ANSPs), aviation authorities, technology firms, airports and regulatory bodies.

José Antonio Santano, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility and President of ENAIRE, showed interest in the initiatives Ineco is currently developing in the field of European ATM transformation, particularly in areas such as digitalisation, automation, artificial intelligence, drone integration and operational sustainability.

In addition to exhibiting, Ineco took part in the SESAR Walking Tours (guided thematic routes organised by the SESAR Joint Undertaking, the European public–private partnership responsible for modernising ATM across Europe) featuring projects and demonstrations linked to the future of European airspace.

Within this framework, Ineco presented IFAV3 - Smart Sector Grouping Tool, a solution focused on intelligent sector grouping practices designed to improve the efficiency and operational flexibility of air traffic control. The tool was showcased as part of the tour on ATM architecture virtualisation and evolution. Developed under the European IFAV3 project, it contributes to more efficient and sustainable airspace management. In recognition of this work, the project was awarded second place by CANSO in the “Collaborative Operations for Sustainable Skies” category.

During the tour on smart airport operations, the company also introduced ORCI, an artificial intelligence-based solution aimed at optimising arrival sequencing at airports, helping to enhance capacity and punctuality in highly congested environments.

With more than 300 specialists in air navigation, Ineco is currently involved in a range of international projects linked to ATM modernisation. These include European initiatives such as U-ELCOME, focused on integrating drones into airspace, and EUREKA, which addresses the future regulation of VTOL (vertical take-off and landing) operations. The company is also engaged in the design of instrument procedures and airspace restructuring for various ANSPs and aviation authorities, as well as in CNS/ATM systems projects and operational validation across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
