Our company has been present at the UITP Global Public Transport Summit (International Association of Public Transport), held in Hamburg, as part of the Spanish pavilion organised by MAFEX, the Spanish Railway Association. This collaborative space has showcased the leadership and innovation of Spanish companies in the railway sector on an international stage.
During the event, María Santos, Commercial Planning Technician, participated in the session "Transforming Public Transport in Latin America and the Caribbean: Data, Governance, Funding, Financing and Project Management", where she highlighted the importance of Project Management Offices (PMO) as key tools for institutional strengthening and the consolidation of a technical and sustainable legacy in each action. She also emphasised the importance of incorporating the social dimension in major infrastructure projects, citing the example of Ineco's experience in the PIT project for the Ministry of Public Works of Costa Rica, where meetings are held with local communities to inform, listen to suggestions, and address concerns related to road safety.
The UITP Global Public Transport Summit is the most important event worldwide in the sector, bringing together authorities, operators, companies, institutions, and international experts. This forum serves as a meeting point to discuss the present and future of public transport, promoting the exchange of experiences, technological solutions, and innovative policies that drive more sustainable and efficient urban mobility.
