Under the direction of Aemet, Ineco has provided expert support in various phases of the plan's development
The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has presented its Strategic Plan 2025-2029, a document that outlines the path to follow to strengthen its role as an essential public service and a benchmark in meteorological and climate information. For its development, it has had the support of Ineco.
The Strategic Plan comes after a comprehensive diagnosis of the Agency's situation, and it includes both the analysis of its internal processes and organisational capabilities, as well as the perspective of its professionals and main external stakeholders. The result is an ambitious and realistic roadmap that addresses current and future challenges in prediction, climate change, and digitalisation, aimed at maximising the value of the service that AEMET offers to society.
Under the direction of Aemet, Ineco has provided expert support in various phases of the plan's development, contributing to its structuring and the design of monitoring and evaluation mechanisms. It has also helped, with its experience, to reflect in the document the strategic objectives and priority lines of action established by the Agency. All of this, in order to align the Agency's internal efforts with its institutional mission and with the country's commitments in terms of sustainability, civil protection, ecological transition, and modernisation of public administrations.
The support provided by Ineco is part of a broader consultancy work that includes other modernisation projects led by Aemet. Among them, the renewal of the radar network stands out, which is essential for monitoring extreme phenomena, as well as the modernisation of meteorological facilities at airports, thus ensuring an improvement in working conditions for staff and greater energy efficiency.
Currently, Ineco collaborates with nearly thirty public organisations on strategic consulting projects spanning multiple areas. These include digital transformation initiatives for sectors such as Justice and Healthcare, as well as administrative modernisation efforts. The company also manages operational aspects of large-scale projects, such as the technical offices for the PRTR (Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan) and the PERTE Chip. Additionally, in the realm of strategic consulting, Ineco supports various public organisations in reviewing their structures, processes, and objectives to enhance their efficiency and focus on public service.
