June 25, 2026

Ineco supported the first cohort of the Master’s in MEP Installations and Sustainability (MIMS), a degree programme delivered by the Technical School of Building at the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM), on Thursday, reinforcing its commitment to education, talent recruitment and the promotion of academic excellence.

The company’s collaboration with the programme forms part of Ineco Universitas, its corporate initiative aimed at strengthening ties between industry and academia to help develop the professionals who will lead future challenges in engineering and sustainability. Throughout the academic year, Ineco contributed to the master’s by providing professionals as part of the teaching staff, while also having four employees enrolled in the programme, thereby fostering knowledge exchange between the university and the professional sector.

A new feature this year was the introduction of the Ineco Award for Academic Excellence in the MIMS Master’s, granted for the first time to recognise students’ effort, dedication and outstanding performance. Prior to the award ceremony, Francisco Cifuentes, Rail Planning and Services Account Deputy Director at Ineco, addressed the graduating class as patron of this inaugural cohort. In his remarks, he highlighted the importance of continuous learning, professional excellence and commitment to sustainability in addressing the challenges of a constantly evolving sector. He subsequently presented the award for Academic Excellence.

Ineco’s involvement in the MIMS Master’s reflects its commitment to strengthening links with universities and educational institutions, contributing to the development of the talent that will drive the sustainable transformation of infrastructure and mobility services in the years ahead.
