Innovation turning complex challenges into realities
Innovation is once again being put to the test at Ineco. This year, a total of 15 shortlisted proposals have been presented to the company’s Innovation Committee, during a session marked by technological diversity and the growing prominence of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and advanced digitalisation.
The proposals addressed major strategic priorities: protecting critical infrastructure against digital threats, using predictive models to anticipate risks, particularly in the field of emergencies and wildfires, and improving decision-making through data-driven tools.
Emerging technologies also featured prominently, with initiatives exploring the potential of quantum computing and its application to areas such as security and traffic management. This was complemented by a strong focus on new solutions for intelligent asset management, mobility and communications in critical situations, as well as the development of tools capable of integrating complex information across the entire infrastructure life cycle.
The Innovation Committee, made up of professionals from across Ineco, was joined by key representatives from the public and business ecosystem. Senior figures from organisations including CDTI, CSIC, Adif, Renfe, Aena, Enaire, the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Justice took part in the evaluation process, bringing an external and strategic perspective on the real-world impact of the proposals.
Collaboration with this institutional and technological environment reinforces the company’s commitment to co-creation. Invited experts highlighted the importance of developing solutions that are closely aligned with operational reality, underlining the value of multidisciplinary teams in turning innovation into tangible results.
With the presentations now complete, the Committee will deliberate on which initiatives move forward to the development phase and become real products. This is a process that not only selects ideas, but also helps to shape Ineco’s innovation roadmap for the years ahead.
