The president of Ineco at Dataforum: `Digital justice is a great national project based on knowledge, talent and vision´

October 3, 2025

Sergio Vázquez Torrón, president of Ineco, inaugurated today the third session of the Dataforum, the major annual innovation forum in the field of Justice, which this year is being held at the Ciudad de León Auditorium.

In his speech, the president of Ineco highlighted Spain's leadership in the European sphere, especially in high-speed rail, the airport network, and the management of large tangible projects.

Within this management, Vázquez Torrón explained, are the transformative projects, such as the digitalisation of Justice with which Ineco has been collaborating for ten years. "We are more than 500 professionals working together with the Ministry on projects like Carpeta Justicia, the Atenea procedural system, or strengthening cybersecurity," he added.

Knowledge, talent, and vision, noted the president of Ineco, are the three pillars of this process which for Vázquez Torrón `is not just a technological project, but a great national project with such an elevated and vital aim as strengthening our Rule of Law and our democracy.´

Three Days of Intensive Engagements

For three days, León has brought together professionals, institutions, and sector leaders to discuss the role of data, artificial intelligence, and digitalisation in the transformation of Justice.

The DATAthon has once again been one of the main attractions over the three days of Dataforum, with nearly 100 students participating in this competition aimed at promoting the resolution of socially relevant challenges within the field of justice. To achieve this, they must use creativity, new technologies, data, and propose innovative and technically feasible solutions.

During the three days, Ineco has led numerous debates, workshops, and talks across the various stages of the forum, addressing topics such as AI for productivity improvement, the future of Lexnet, or `Carpeta Justicia´ a practical example of how Ineco has taken a further step towards the digitalisation of services.

A strategic collaboration with the Ministry of Justice

Ineco has been collaborating with the Ministry of Justice since 2016 with more than 500 professionals to create a collaborative ecosystem with 25 companies working together on the digital transformation of the Justice Administration.

All this from a strategic consultancy perspective, to launch key initiatives such as the new ATENEA procedural management system, interoperability between judicial systems, or Carpeta Justicia, a portal that facilitates a more agile, usable, and real-time relationship with the Administration for citizens and professionals.
