Framed within the campaign 'Sumamos en verde', our company has held a volunteering day in Madrid and A Coruña to curb the consequences of litter abandoned in natural spaces, known as "basuraleza" (nature litter), in the different ecosystems of our country.

More than 70 volunteers have collaborated with the project 'LIBERA, unidos contra la basuraleza’ managing to collect more than 620 kilograms of rubbish. This project was launched in 2017 by the environmental NGO, SEO/BirdLife, in partnership with Ecoembes, the non-profit environmental organisation that promotes the circular economy through the recycling of packaging.

Ineco also reaffirms its commitment to the fight against Climate Change by carrying out CO2 absorption projects, increasing biodiversity in reforested areas, and mitigating soil erosion processes. During the past year, the company created its fourth Ineco Forest in Ciruelos (Toledo) where 544 native trees were planted, offsetting a total of 200 tonnes of CO2 over 50 years. Moreover, the company has managed to reduce its CO2 emissions by more than 22% thanks to remote working.

We encourage you to drive a change in habits, starting with reducing waste generation, moving on to reuse, repairing what we already have at our disposal; and of course, tackling this problem of littering.
