Talent in the Mediterranean: 25 Years of Ineco in Valencia

June 20, 2025

25 years ago, Ineco took its first step in the Community of Valencia. It did it with the conviction that the development of infrastructure was key to the growth of the territory and the well-being of its citizens. Since its arrival, the company has accompanied the region in some of its most significant milestones, with a special focus on the port sector. Its connection with the Port of Valencia, initiated two decades ago, has been a clear example of a firm and lasting commitment. Today, Ineco is an active part of the development in the Mediterranean axis, actively participating in the improvement of the railway corridor, also modernising the ports of Castellón and Alicante and expanding the airports of Alicante and Valencia, within the framework of the Levante Plan.

In this quarter of a century, the company's evolution in the region has been closely linked to a major mobility and infrastructure projects. From the high-speed works that have connected Valencia with the rest of the country, such as the access channel and the expansion of Joaquín Sorolla, to urban interventions like the undergrounding of the metro in Alboraya or the implementation of the tram in Playa de San Juan. Ineco has also been an essential part of the improvement of the state road network in the Community, contributing to more efficient and safer mobility. Today, their experience also projects into the future, with a Port Management located in Valencia, which reinforces the territoriality and specialisation of the team in an expanding sector.

From its headquarters in Valencia, more than 200 professionals develop high-impact projects, both nationally and internationally. With a 50% growth in the last 3 years, having strengthened the commitment to territoriality with the creation of the company's Port Management in this Autonomous Community, it is a highly qualified and multidisciplinary team, with a prominent presence in areas such as railway engineering, renewable energies, or the management of European funds. Only within the framework of the Recovery Plan, Ineco has already advised more than 170 municipalities on their decarbonisation and mobility digitalisation plans. "Ineco has been committed to this Community for 25 years. In recent years, we have significantly strengthened this commitment; the future of Ineco cannot be understood without a strong presence in this region," emphasized Sergio Vázquez Torrón, the company's president.

After 25 years of journey, the history of Ineco in the Community of Valencia is one of solid collaboration, a shared vision, and a future full of new steps.
