On the occasion of World Environmental Education Day, Ineco held a conference focused on the circular economy as a key lever for advancing towards a more sustainable model, highlighting both the solutions offered by the company and the individual contribution of each person.

The event addressed the strategic role of the company in promoting the circular economy, beginning with an introduction to the concept and its European and sector-specific regulatory framework. In this context, Ineco’s active contribution to its clients’ plans was showcased through concrete projects, such as the new temporary, demountable and reusable car park at Madrid–Puerta de Atocha–Almudena Grandes station. An innovative project integrating carbon into clients’ pricing bases was also presented, enabling the development not only of a traditional economic budget but also of an environmental budget that quantifies impact in terms of carbon emissions.

The second part of the conference focused on the importance of small everyday actions. Practical tips were shared to improve energy efficiency and reduce consumption, both in the workplace and in personal life. In addition, a representative from Ecoembes highlighted the importance of recycling and proper waste management.

Ineco has succeeded in reducing its carbon footprint by 40% since 2017 and has implemented initiatives that demonstrate the company’s strong commitment to sustainability in its management. These include teleworking for 50% of employees’ working time, significantly reducing commuting-related emissions, and the implementation of a car-sharing tool, which has helped cut CO₂ emissions by 14.5 tonnes.

A clear call to action: every small gesture counts in building a more responsible and sustainable future, together.
