Ineco has received the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure of Costa Rica, Pablo Camacho Salazar, as part of an official visit to Spain, during which he presented the portfolio of priority infrastructure projects and outlined the main investment opportunities in key sectors such as roads, bridges, railways, airports, and consultancy services. This meeting, in which Sergio Vázquez, president of Ineco, Ainhoa Zubieta, International Business General Director, and Salomé Fernández, America Account Deputy Director, participated, strengthens the solid collaboration between the company and Costa Rican institutions, as well as Ineco's firm commitment to the sustainable and resilient development of infrastructure in the Central American country.

With a consolidated presence in Costa Rica since 2008 and an accumulated production close to €14 million, Ineco currently plays a key role as the Executing Unit of the Transport Infrastructure Programmes (PIT) and the Road Infrastructure and Public-Private Partnership (PIV-APP), financed by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and executed in coordination with the Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MOPT).

During the meeting, the main opportunities for future collaboration were discussed, highlighting the Emergency Programme for the Comprehensive and Resilient Reconstruction of Infrastructure (PROERI), funded by the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) with $700 million. This programme includes large-scale actions in the areas of roads, bridges, and railways, fields where Ineco has extensive experience as an implementing and technical management firm.

Likewise, the ambitious railway project of the Great Metropolitan Area (GAM) Train was highlighted, a strategic axis of sustainable mobility that will connect the main cities of the country. The project is developed by the Costa Rican Railway Institute (INCOFER). Ineco, which has already participated in earlier phases of the project, is now analysing new opportunities to collaborate in its design, execution, and supervision.

Deputy Minister, Pablo Camacho, engineer specialised in road infrastructure with a distinguished career in the public sector, has reaffirmed the Costa Rican government's commitment to continue strengthening cooperation with Spanish companies such as Ineco, renowned for their excellence and commitment to sustainable development, as support in the search for solutions in the mobility of goods, services, and people.
During his visit to our country, Pablo Camacho also participated in an event organised by ICEX España Exportación e Inversiones, in collaboration with the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), in which more than 40 Spanish companies from the infrastructure sector took part.
